For my reverse engineering project, I decided to use one of my pens.
The first thing I did with my pen was Visual Analysis.
Below are the three views for my pen. You can see the front view, side view, and top view. I did this to show all the features of the pen from different angles.

In my notebook, I included descriptions for the visual, functional, and structural analysis of the pen. I did this to get a clearer understanding of how the pen is supposed to work and why it was designed this way.
Here are some other photos of my pen. The parts are dissassembled.
Below are all my parts on inventor. The second part and the third go together, and I did not include the spring or grip.
In the videos below I assembled/disassembled the pen.
Evaluation / Reflection:
I feel that my pen was a good choice for the reverse engineering project. It had a clear function, had multiple parts, and was a bit of a challenge for me to create in inventor. Because of its somewhat complex shape, I had to use many new features of inventor to create some of the parts, and I learned a lot about inventor throughout the project. Unfortunately, I was not able to recreate every little detail of the pen on inventor. I feel like the notches for the grip would be near impossible to measure and therefore it would be a bit too hard to make it so that the real grip would fit on the inventor created pen. This project also showed me that I have a lot to improve on in terms of neatness and accuracy, especially with my measurements. Overall, I think I did a good job analyzing the pen and I was able to at least create the most important parts of the pen on inventor.
